- Title
- OT Intern
- Duties Performed
- I spent one week in the outpatient children's clinic observing occupational therapists work with children with diagnosis such as autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and developmentally delayed. The other week I shadowed an occupational therapist in the rehabilitation hospital in-patient unit of Casa Colina. The diagnosis in this unit ranged from stoke, crush injuries, heart attacks, viral and autoimmune diseases.
- Best Aspect
- This Field Period was unique because of the diversity of treatment setting and diagnosis that were present at this site. Casa Colina is one of the leading therapy settings in the country and it was fascinating to learn from their expertise.
